| Acupuncture Acupressure Techniques |
This is an ancient form of healing practice used for over 3,000 years in China and Japan, but the emphasis of this course is on the skills which have been developed and refined into a healing art not requiring the use of needles. In addition to working on the body's healing powers, acupressure relieves pain, increases vitality and helps prevent future illness. Physical, emotional and environmental disorders are all successfully treated with acupressure. While touching upon certain aspects of traditional Chinese medicine, the emphasis of the course is Western-oriented, in keeping with the philosophy of the Institute of Natural Sciences. The aim is to teach the individual a system of "Fingertip Medicine." This course is complete in itself but also complements courses in Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Massage. |

| Auriculotherapy |
Acupuncture has been practiced in China for several thousand years. The use of points upon the ear - auriculotherapy - was by and large devised in Europe over the last three decades. It forms a complete system of treatment, which has the huge advantage of requiring the exposure and treatment of the ear only. This course was specially commissioned to complement the Acupressure and Yoga Therapy courses. It is also an excellent stand-alone course, which would be of value, both diagnostically and therapeutically, to all natural therapists. |
